Resources for Visiting Comedians
Thinking about coming through New Orleans to do some comedy? Hell yeah! It's always a good time here. Here's some resources thrown together to help you out around here.
Shows
As you can tell, shows are listed and categorized as the main point of this website. There's a dedicated page for open mics if you're looking for those specifically. All shows -- booked and open mics -- are DIY and independently run by other comedians. That is to say, 504Comedy does not currently produce any of the shows in New Orleans so contacting us about bookings isn't useful.
If you're looking to get booked, you'll find a table of shows and who runs them below. Not everyone has provided their contact information, so search Facebook, or ask around.

Lodging
New Orleans is a tourism town, so hotels are everywhere and really like the same price as an AirBnB. Speaking of, please do not use AirBnB. AirBnBs are pretty much unregulated here and have destroyed neighborhoods and have made it impossible for people to afford rent here and have pushed a lot of the local entertainers (of all genres) out of the city and into neighboring areas. It sucks. Hotels are basically the same price now (especially in off seasons). If you talk to people booking you before you come down, they probably know someone with a couch or a spare bed you can crash on for a couple days. Do that instead if you can.
What to Do and Eat
There's a lot of bullshit here, like any tourism town, but the vast majority of bars and food are as good as everyone says they are. We used to curate a guide here on the site, but after COVID and the normal passage of time, it was just too hard to keep up with what's open and what's good. So check out our local alt-weekly Gambit's Best of New Orleans 2021 results. The places are voted on by locals so it's mostly right. It's at the least a good starting point.
